Endogeny Control Policy

Endogeny Control Policy

JESCS (Journal of Education, Social & Communication Studies) is committed to maintaining editorial independence, diversity of authorship, and transparency in scholarly publishing. In accordance with the Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ) criteria, the journal aims to ensure that the proportion of published research articles authored or co-authored by the journal's editors, editorial board members, or reviewers does not exceed 25% in either of the two most recently published issues.

The endogeny percentage is calculated by dividing the number of research articles with at least one author serving as an editor, editorial board member, or reviewer by the total number of research articles published in the relevant issue, multiplied by 100%.

JESCS regularly monitors authorship patterns to ensure compliance with this threshold. Editorial board members, editors, and reviewers may submit manuscripts; however, their submissions must undergo an independent and impartial peer-review process. Individuals must not participate in editorial decisions concerning their own manuscripts or submissions with which they have a conflict of interest.

The journal encourages submissions from researchers affiliated with diverse institutions and academic backgrounds to promote intellectual diversity and minimize excessive concentration of publications among individuals involved in the journal's editorial and review processes.

Through this policy, JESCS seeks to uphold responsible publishing practices, strengthen editorial independence, and maintain compliance with the applicable DOAJ selection criteria.
