Authorship Criteria
Authorship Criteria
JESCS (Journal of Education, Social, and Cultural Studies) requires authorship to reflect genuine scholarly contributions, responsibility, and accountability for published research. All individuals listed as authors must have made meaningful intellectual contributions to the work and must approve the final manuscript before publication.
- Criteria for Authorship
To qualify as an author, an individual must meet the following criteria:
- Make a substantial contribution to the conception or design of the study, data collection, analysis, interpretation, or development of the research.
- Participate in drafting the manuscript or critically revising it for important intellectual content.
- Approve the final version of the manuscript for submission and publication.
- Accept accountability for their contributions and cooperate in addressing questions concerning the accuracy and integrity of the work.
- Author Responsibilities
All authors are responsible for ensuring that the manuscript is original, accurately presented, and free from plagiarism, fabrication, falsification, and other forms of research misconduct. Authors must ensure that all sources are properly acknowledged and that the submitted manuscript complies with the journal's publication ethics policies.
- Corresponding Author
The corresponding author is responsible for communicating with the editorial office, confirming that all listed authors have approved the manuscript, providing accurate author information, and coordinating communications throughout the submission, review, and publication processes.
- Non-Author Contributors
Individuals who provide administrative assistance, general supervision, funding support, language editing, or technical assistance without meeting the authorship criteria should be acknowledged appropriately rather than listed as authors.
JESCS does not permit guest authorship, gift authorship, or ghost authorship.
- Changes in Authorship
Any addition, removal, or change in the order of authors after submission must be justified in writing and approved by all authors concerned. The editorial office reserves the right to evaluate such requests in accordance with the journal's publication ethics policies.
- Author Contributions
Authors are encouraged to provide a clear statement describing each author's contribution to the research and manuscript preparation. This statement promotes transparency and accountability in scholarly publishing.
By submitting a manuscript to JESCS, authors confirm that the authorship information is accurate and that all listed authors have approved the submission.
