Open Access Policy

The Journal of Education, Social & Communication Studies (JESCS) provides immediate open access to its published content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge.

All articles published in JESCS are available online free of charge immediately upon publication. Readers do not need to pay subscription fees, access charges, or registration fees to read, download, or access published articles.

JESCS does not charge authors any Article Processing Charges (APCs). Manuscript submission, peer review, editorial processing, and publication are provided free of charge to authors. The journal is committed to removing financial barriers to scholarly communication and promoting equitable access to academic research worldwide.

1. Free and Unrestricted Access

JESCS supports the principle that scholarly research should be accessible to everyone, regardless of geographical location, institutional affiliation, or financial circumstances.

Readers may access published articles free of charge and, subject to the applicable license, read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, and link to the full text of published works for lawful purposes.

The journal seeks to promote the broad dissemination of knowledge, encourage academic collaboration, support education, and increase the visibility and impact of scholarly research.

2. Budapest Open Access Initiative

JESCS supports the principles of the Budapest Open Access Initiative (BOAI), launched on February 14, 2002, which promotes the free availability of scholarly literature on the public internet.

The initiative emphasizes that research should be accessible without financial, legal, or technical barriers beyond those inseparable from accessing the internet itself, while preserving authors' rights to receive proper acknowledgment and maintain the integrity of their work.

In accordance with these principles, JESCS is committed to making its published articles available free of charge and removing subscription and access fees that may prevent readers from accessing scholarly knowledge.

The journal recognizes the importance of open-access publishing in accelerating research, enriching education, supporting knowledge exchange across countries and communities, and increasing the visibility and use of academic publications.

3. No Article Processing Charges (APCs)

JESCS operates on a free-of-charge publishing model and does not impose mandatory Article Processing Charges (APCs) on authors.

The journal's fee policy is as follows:

Although open-access publishing involves operational costs, JESCS is committed to maintaining free access for readers and free publication for authors through appropriate and sustainable arrangements.
